Overpopulation is a global issue that impacts our lives, and will do so as long as nothing is done to stop it. In plain terms, it refers to a situation where a lot more people live somewhere than there are resources for them to use. Overpopulation will unavoidably rise when population growth keeps spiraling upward, and more individuals are born than die in a particular place.

The negative impacts of overpopulation are very severe. The first is that natural resources are being used up more quickly. Just a certain quantity of food and water can be produced on our globe. Hence, environmental harm from overpopulation includes deforestation, pollution, etc. The overuse of resources like coal, oil, natural gas, etc., parallels this environmental deterioration. As a result, this has an impact on the air's quality as well. Overpopulation strains resources in emerging nations.

Moreover, overpopulation leads to higher unemployment rates. There are more people than there are available jobs. As a result, theft and other crimes increase when people are unemployed. In addition, pandemics and epidemics are brought on by population growth. It is because crowded, unclean living conditions spread infectious diseases. Starvation and malnutrition are additional adverse effects. These diseases are expected to become more prevalent when resources are in short supply. Most notably, there is a water shortage, which makes it more difficult for people to acquire clean water.

Similarly, more population, particularly in less developed countries, reduces life expectancy. While nations continue to expand their industrial capacities, climate change is likewise accelerating. They thus release industrial waste, increasing global temperatures.

We can implement a variety of strategies to stop overpopulation. The best way to control population growth is through family planning. Limiting the number of children per income and resources must also be crucial. In a similar vein, more resources are required. The government must employ the media to educate the public about the perils of population growth. Empowering women to escape destitution is another noteworthy tactic. They can gain knowledge about reproductive health and improve their decision-making. Government incentives could be an alternative option. Many states in America already have various tax exemption policies in place to reduce overpopulation. For instance, some states in America do not charge married couples with one or two kids income tax.

Excessive population growth is a permanent danger to any nation's ability to progress and is nothing short of a curse. It is crucial to prevent the population increase. To achieve that, one must practice responsible family planning and promote social stability for a better world.
